The trend of using YouTube, both as a user and creator came quite late in Pakistan, thanks to the 8-year-long ban by Government. However, recently, people have become aware and have started to take advantage of the service in Pakistan.
Throughout its history, Youtube has seen various video trends from Vines to prank video and many other formats. However, recently, Vlogging has started to gain popularity. Ever since the ban lifted, people actually started to use YouTube as a platform to showcase their skills. In this post, we will discuss a few channels which have gained immense popularity in the domain of vlogging videos.
IRFAN JUNEJO
It's been a year and a half only when Mr. Junejo posted his first vlog on YouTube (on 1st of Jan, 2017) and he already has a following of more than 150K people on YouTube. The Karachi-based vlogger has posted various travelogues and other videos where he has highlighted the beauty of Pakistan's biggest city, Karachi. One thing that I really like about his vlogs is the use of Urdu most of the time, apart from the beautiful drone and cinematic shots. However, my favorite video to date is the one where he rants about not being allowed to enter the Karachi Eat Festival without a female companion. Watch the video here.
TAIMOOR SALAHUDDIN AKA MOOROO
Mooroo originally hails from Lahore and is a complete package: he is not only a Vlogger but also makes comedy sketches on YouTube, sings and is into direction and production too. He also appeared in LUX Style Awards last year alongside Atif Aslam. He posts weekly/monthly Vlogs and is currently standing at 226K YouTube Subscribers. The awesome combination of cool cinematographic shots and soothing music is what makes his travelogues fun to watch. Check his channel here.
BILAL KHAN
This singer-turned-vlogger recently crossed the milestone of 170K subscribers on YouTube. Before starting his Vlogging career, he was solely focused creating music and has produced some awesome music and OSTs in the past. Right now, alongside vlogging, he is also working on new music and acting in various serials. His Vlogs feature majorly his acting life where he gives his viewers the tour of his sets and allows them to meet the cast and crew present on those sets. You can check out his channel here.
