On a concluding note, all I can say is that the Pakistani game studios are making their name in the world gradually and the above list of games reflect the quality of work being done.
Video
Games in Pakistan are mostly limited to titles like Counter Strike (CS server
in Ramadhan nights), Call of Duty, FIFA, Need for Speed and Tekken, etc. Or
some casual gamers would prefer games like Candy Crush and Clash of Clans (No
offence, TH 9 here). While everyone has their own choice, I believe in the
phrase “Made in Pakistan” except for the fact that we use everything “Made in
China”. Here is a list of some “Made in Pakistan” games which might not be
popular enough, but surely noteworthy in one way or another.
A
story of twins who are lost in a mysterious world of colorful and magical rooms
from which they must escape to reunite with their family. Lost Twins is a
puzzle-platformer game which is developed by we.R.play, and released for both
android and iOS devices. The game has been featured on the Editor’s Choice of Google
Play Store.

2) Dream Chaser
An
imaginative story-driven runner game by we.R.play in which it is up to the
young hero Nito to restore peace in the realm of gods by sprinting through
different worlds and collecting dream orbs. The game has been released for Android,
iOS and Windows Phone. The noteworthy aspect of this game is that it was
published by Chillingo (a division of Electronic Arts which publishes
innovative games) for iOS devices. Rumors are that Tintash has also released a
game named Woody Woodpecker in collaboration with Chillingo on App Store. Yes,
it is true, but somehow I couldn’t find the game.

3) Stick Cricket 2
Stick
Sports Ltd, the makers of stick games were probably impressed by the work of
Pakistani game studio Tintash as this studio is responsible for developing
Stick Cricket 2. What can I say, we are a cricket frenzy nation. If you haven’t
played it already, find this game on both App Store and Play Store and enjoy.

4) Heart Surgery ER Emergency
Developed
by Happy Baby Games, a subsidiary of Game Storm Studios. Heart Surgery is
doctor-patient simulator game where you get to treat patients with different
diseases and perform heart operations. The game has about 10 million downloads
on Play Store and was featured number 1 in the Top Free Games in the Education
category. Even though the game is rated 12+, if you don’t like the game, it’s
probably because it is an Educational App for children (Children above 12 I
guess).

5) Jetpack Joyride/Fruit Ninja
Games
which don’t need any introduction, developed by Halfbrick, an Australian game
studios. But only some people know that a Pakistani game studio Caramel Tech
was behind the ports of these famous games for some platforms. By the way,
porting is a term used in video games lingo, when a game designed to run on one
platform is converted to run on a different platform.
6) War Inc – Modern World Combat
A
modern military combat real time strategy game by Mindstorm Studios. It’s
gameplay is truly amazing which makes it good enough to compete with any
strategy game out in the market, say Clash of Clans - pun intended but I also
mean it. It has downloads in millions across several platforms like Android,
iOS and Amazon. It was published by Tango.me on the App Store. If you are into
commanding an army of Marines, Snipers and Tanks to conquer your enemy, you are
in for a treat.
7) Cricket Revolution
A
2009 multiplayer cricket action title for PC by the Mindstorm Studios. Cricket
Revolution is one of the very few Pakistani games to be released on Steam.
Cricket games might not be played extensively worldwide but the release of
Cricket Revolution was historic as it was the first full scale video game title
to release from Pakistan on a global scale.

8) Apartment 666
The
efforts of a young Pakistani Shahmeer Chaudhry must be appreciated when he was
able to release an adventurous horror game Apartment 666 in 2016 on Steam. The
game play is frightening as you play the game as a 12 year old who is trying to
exit his apartment only to wake up in your room again. There is only one way
out which you have to find as you experience the presence of someone else in
the apartment. The title is available on Steam for $2.99 which was released
under the name of his studio, I Need Play.

9) Fallen
A
spooky puzzle-platformer which depicts the story of a son and father, when the
son falls into a cave full of ghosts and monsters. The player plays as the
father in order to find his son by fighting all the monsters and ghosts of the
cave. The game was released on Steam in 2016 by an indie developer Bilawal
Talpur who owns BT Studios.

10) Explottens
A fast paced shoot’em up game by we.R.play released on 6 Jun, 2017 on Steam. Play as a cat (kinda), fly in an aircraft and shoot all the evil cat armies. The game has appealing and elegant graphics with a well thought out game play which costs $4.99. The title is currently in Steam Early Access but worth mentioning here.

On
a side note, if you didn’t like the list, do watch the video below and enjoy.
Shera
Jutt- The first ever Pakistani arcade game which never got the chance to come
out in the market. Wayy gujjara wayy!-no pun intended I am serious.
