Pakistani cities and what they are famous for!



Pakistan is an industrial and agricultural country with a large number of population is associated with these professions. Moreover, Pakistan is home to many ancient cultures and civilizations. Following is a list of some Pakistani cities and what they are famous for.

  • Faisalabad is famous for agriculture and industrial textiles.

  • Multan, also known as the 'city of saints', is famous for its world class mangoes.


  • Wazirabad, an industrial city located in Punjab province is famous for its cutlery and weapons. It has also been given the title of 'City of Cutlery'.

  • Taxila is an archeological site and has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The famous Taxila Museum has a huge collection of sculptures of Gandharan art.


  • Sialkot is known for the manufacture of sports goods, surgical instruments, leather goods, textile goods, musical instruments. The official football for the FIFA 2014 world cup, 'Brazuca' was also manufactured in Sialkot.

  •  Quetta is famous for fruit orchards and the large variety of fruits and dry fruits produced there. It is called the 'fruit garden of Pakistan'.

  • Sarai Alamgir, a small suburban city located in north Punjab has numerous markets that sell cane goods and other items for decoration like vases etc.
